Frequently Asked Questions

A: LARC ran a successful day camp for 45 years for children with special needs. Camp LARC, as it was then known, was a partnership with other organizations, such as the Northwest YMCA Camp Torymca and Shookie. At that time camp focused specifically on children and teens with special needs. In 2011, LARC formed Camp MOE, an outdoor day camp for all children. It is one of the first camps in New England that provides an inclusive setting where all campers are welcome.

Approximately one-third of our campers are children with special needs: intellectually disabled, physical disabilities, autism spectrum, mental health issues, ADHD, etc. ALL of our campers want to be provided with an amazing Camp MOE experience that they will never forget.
